DALLAS (October 9, 2024) – The Perot Museum of Nature and Science celebrates the breathtaking beauty of one of nature’s most captivating minerals in “Topaz: A Spectrum in Stone.” The Museum’s newest exhibit features over 100 exquisite topaz specimens from every corner of the world. Showcasing an array of brilliant colors and varied sizes, this magnificent global collection is the first assembled by Museum Director of Gems and Minerals Caroline Im.

The report highlights our efforts to broaden access to STEM education and foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world among visitors of all ages.
This year’s Impact Report also offers a glimpse of our unforgettable Great North American Eclipse event in April 2024. The eclipse captivated thousands of visitors, perfectly aligning with our commitment to making science both accessible and awe-inspiring. The weeks surrounding the eclipse featured a series of educational activities, interactive exhibits, and expert talks that deepened public understanding of this celestial phenomenon. Perot Museum Names Chief Learning Officer - Drexell Owusu
DALLAS (April 30, 2024) – After a comprehensive search, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science has named innovative business executive and community advocate Drexell Owusu as its Chief Learning Officer. Owusu joins the Perot Museum after leading The Dallas Foundation as its Chief Impact Officer and previously serving the Dallas Regional Chamber as its Senior Vice President of Education & Workforce. He assumed his duties and was officially welcomed to the Perot Museum on April 1, 2024.
