Membership FAQs

  1. What types of guest passes do I receive and how do I use them?

    All memberships come with single-use guest passes.  Basic level memberships receive two single-use guest passes, while Premium level memberships receive four single-use guest passes. Patron memberships receive six single-use guest passes.

    Guest passes can be used for guests of members that are not included on the membership. A named member cardholder must be present with person(s) using the guest pass(es). Guest passes are only for general admission.

    Patron memberships also receive Anytime guest passes, (Patron Silver; 4, Patron Gold; 6 and Patron Platinum; 8). These Anytime guest passes can be used by guests not in attendance with the named cardholders.

  2. How can I use theater passes?

    All members receive discount pricing on Theater tickets. You may purchase these online or at the Box Office.

    Patron members receive some complimentary Theater and traveling exhibition passes with their memberships.

    Patron Silver receive 4 Theater and 2 traveling exhibition passes.

    Patron Gold receive 6 Theater and 4 traveling exhibition passes.

    Patron Platinum receive 8 Theater and 6 traveling exhibition passes.

    These can be used for both members and nonmembers and are valid for one use only.

  3. Can I bring a nonmember during member-only hours?

    No, unfortunately, member-only hours are just for Museum members. Guest passes cannot be used to admit nonmembers during these times.

  4. How do I use my member vouchers/passes?

    Simply get tickets, and when you log into your account at the outset, you’ll have the opportunity to redeem your available guest passes when you choose the programs you and your guests would like to attend.

  5. Where do members park? Is there discounted member parking?

    Members may park in the main Museum parking lot, which is  across from the main entrance under the Woodall Rodgers overpass.

    Members receive a discounted parking rate of $5/vehicle and must pay for parking  at the Perot Museum Box Office or at the atrium parking kiosk before returning to their vehicle to leave. Member parking discounts are not available in the parking lot itself.

  6. How can I renew my membership?

    You can renew your membership online, in person at the Perot Museum Box Office, or by calling 214.756.5751.

  7. What is your cancellation and refund policy on memberships?

    Memberships are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

  8. Can I upgrade my membership level or upgrade before my current membership expires?

    You may upgrade your membership at any time by contacting the Membership Department at 214.756.5751 or emailing us at

    You will need to pay the difference between your current level and the desired upgrade level. Your membership expiration date will not change.

  9. What are the costs for various membership levels?

  10. How can I sign up for a membership?

    There are three easy ways to join!

    3. In person — Visit the Box Office at the Perot Museum.
  11. Do my children need membership cards?

    No. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by a current card-carrying adult member. We issue membership cards for named adults aged 18 and over who are covered under your membership level.

    All children are automatically covered under Family level and Patron memberships.

  12. Can a friend or family member use my membership card?

    No. Memberships are nontransferable and are valid only for the person(s) whose name(s) appear on the card(s). This is why you must show a photo ID when you enter the Perot Museum.

    As a nonprofit organization that relies heavily on membership for support, we must prevent misuse of our membership cards to avoid the need to raise prices.

  13. Can I change the names on my membership?

  14. Are digital Member Cards available on Apple and Android devices?

    Yes. For Apple devices, login and open up your account page on your device to download it to your Wallet.  For Android devices, download the WalletPasses app. Then login and open up your account page on your device to download it to WalletPasses.

  15. Is my membership effective immediately after purchase?

    Yes. For online purchases, use your e-receipt until your digital membership cards arrive, on average two days after purchase.

    Alternatively, you login to your online account and download your digital membership cards.

  16. Does my Perot Museum membership include any other museums?

    Yes! Your Perot Museum membership card will grant you free general admission to hundreds of museums that participate in the ASTC Travel Passport Program. Find out more about ASTC partners; some restrictions apply.

    Premium and Patron level members receive reciprocal admission to the Fort Worth Science Museum and the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary.

  17. I have a membership with another museum - can I get access to the Perot Museum?

    Members of a participating ASTC Travel Passport Program institution or with local reciprocity – Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary (Roadrunner level or above) and Fort Worth Science Museum of Science and History (Wonder level or above) – receive free general admission for up to two adults and any children in the household (age 17 and under). Perot Museum member discounts and benefits do not apply.

    Reciprocal members cannot currently book tickets in advance, but can bring their membership card directly to the Box Office at the Perot Museum for free general admission.

  18. What is the Kids Club?

    Kids Club, a benefit for Premium level members and above, is a partnership between the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Zoo, Nasher Sculpture Center, and Trinity River Audubon Center.

    Kids Club activities include invitations to FREE exclusive special events at these participating organizations.

  19. How can I purchase a gift membership?

    You can purchase a gift membership online — simply go to the membership level you’d like to give and choose the “Gift” option.

    Enter in your details to login (so you receive the purchase receipt), and then enter in the gift recipient’s details. Also indicate whether you would like us to notify the recipient or not on this same purchase path.

  20. Can I receive a discount on the price of my membership?


    The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is pleased to offer a 15% discount to the following groups:

    • Educators, with a valid school ID.
    • Military, active or retired.
    • First Responders and Healthcare workers; with a valid ID.

    This discount is good for Basic, Premium, and Patron level memberships. Discounted memberships can only be purchased in-person at the Museum Box Office or over the phone. Call 214.756.5751 for more information.

  21. I am an active member of the United States military. Will I receive a discount?

    Yes! The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is pleased to offer a 15% discount to all active military families. This discount is good for Basic, Premium, and Patron level memberships.   22. Which membership levels include discounts on birthday parties and children's programs?

    Discounts on birthday parties and priority booking and discount to Discovery Camps applies to all membership levels.

  23. Is my membership valid on group reservations?

    Memberships are not valid on group reservations.
