Membership FAQs

  1. What is the Plus One benefit?

    Plus One is a new benefit for Dual memberships and up. These memberships allow for two or more cardholders, but we now only require one card to have a name on it. For your additional card(s), you can choose whether to put names on them, or leave them blank, which allows you to bring a new Plus One guest(s) each time you visit without using guest passes.

    Note that your Plus One guest(s) cannot visit the Museum without at least one named cardholder present — so you may prefer to put name(s) on your additional card(s) to enable these people to visit the Museum on their own.

  2. How can I use guest passes?

    Guest passes can be used for guests of members that are not included on the membership account and are valid for one use each. A named member cardholder must be present with person(s) using the guest pass(es). Passes cannot be applied to combo tickets — only to general exhibit hall admission. Temporary exhibits can be added at the Museum Box Office.

  3. How can I use theater passes?

    Theater passes can be used for both members and nonmembers and are valid for one use. Passes cannot be applied to combo tickets.

  4. Can I bring a nonmember during member-only hours?

    No, unfortunately, member-only hours are just for Museum members. Guest passes cannot be used to admit nonmembers during these times.

  5. How do I use my member vouchers/passes?

    Simply get tickets, and when you log into your account at the outset, you'll have the opportunity to redeem your available guest passes when you choose the programs you and your guests would like to attend.

  6. Where do members park? Is there discounted member parking?

    Members may park in the main Museum parking lot, which is adjacent to the Perot Museum, or across from the main entrance under the Woodall Rodgers overpass. Members receive a discounted parking rate of $5 and must pay for parking and obtain a parking slip at the Perot Museum Box Office or at one of our indoor kiosks before returning to their vehicle to leave.

  7. How can I renew my membership?

    You can renew your membership online, in person at the Perot Museum membership desk, or by calling 214.756.5751 (9am–5pm weekdays).

  8. What is your cancellation and refund policy on memberships?

    Memberships are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

  9. Do I have to wait until my current membership expires to upgrade?

    Not at all! You may upgrade your membership at any time by contacting the Membership Department at 214.756.5751. Upgrade fees will apply in accordance with your newly selected membership level.

  11. How can I sign up for a membership?

    There are three easy ways to join!

  12. Do my children need membership cards?

    Children 17 and under must be accompanied by a current card-carrying member. We issue membership cards for the named adults 18 and over who reside at the same address. All household members 17 years of age and under are automatically covered under a Family membership and above. If your child(ren) will be visiting the Museum with an adult not named on the membership, please call 214.756.5751 for details on upgrading your membership to include an additional adult. Upgrade fees will apply.

  13. Can a friend or family member use my membership card?

    No. Memberships are nontransferable and are valid only for the person whose name appears on the card. This is why you must show a photo ID when you enter the Perot Museum. As a nonprofit organization that relies heavily on membership and attendance for support, we must prevent misuse of our membership cards to avoid the need to raise prices. Please note: Children 17 and under must be accompanied by a current card-carrying member.

  14. Can I change the names on my membership?

    Yes. Requests for a change of name or address must be emailed to membership@perotmuseum.org. Please note that there is a $3 administrative fee for each replacement card.

  15. What if I lose my membership card?

    There is a $3 administrative fee for each replacement card. Please call 214.756.5751 to purchase your replacement cards. Until your new cards are issued, please present your driver's license at the Perot Museum Box Office.

  16. Is my membership effective immediately after purchase?

    Yes! For online purchases, use your e-receipt until a permanent card is issued. Your e-receipt contains a confirmation code as well as your membership ID number.

  17. Are any other museums included with my Perot Museum membership?

    Yes! Your Perot Museum membership card will grant you free general admission to more than 360 museums that participate in the ASTC Travel Passport Program. Find out more about ASTC partners; some restrictions apply.

  18. Which membership levels include reciprocal membership to the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary?

    Reciprocal membership to these North Texas museums is included at the Family Plus level and above.

  19. What is the Kids Club?

    Kids Club, a benefit for Family Plus level members and above, is a partnership between the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Zoo, Nasher Sculpture Center, and Trinity River Audubon Center. Kids Club activities include invitations to six FREE exclusive special events per year for a major savings. In addition, Kids Club members receive a discount on admission to the participating institutions. Find out more about Kids Club!

  20. How can I purchase a gift membership?

    You can purchase a gift membership online — simply go to the membership level you'd like to give and choose the "Give as Gift" option. To purchase by telephone, please call 214.756.5751.

  21. I am an educator. Will I receive a discount?

    Yes! The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is pleased to offer a 15% discount to all educators. This discount is good for Individual, Dual, and Family memberships. Discounted memberships can only be purchased in-person at the Museum Box Office with a valid educator ID. Call 214.756.5751 for more information.

  22. I am an active member of the United States military. Will I receive a discount?

    Yes! The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is pleased to offer a 15% discount to all active military families. This discount is good for Individual, Dual, and Family memberships.   23. Which membership levels include discounts on birthday parties and children's programs?

    Discounts on birthday parties and Discovery Camps apply to Family memberships and above. Please call the membership office at 214.756.5751 to upgrade your membership. Upgrade fees will apply in accordance with your newly selected membership level.
