Annular Solar Eclipse

On October 14, an annular solar eclipse will be visible in Dallas. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is proud to partner with Carnegie Institution for Science for an extraordinary event to safely experience the eclipse.
Activities
Join fellow astronomy enthusiasts for this awe-inspiring event featuring live music, hands-on STEM activities, food trucks, games and more! Guests will also have full access to explore throughout the Museum.
Food and Beverage
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from the food trucks listed below. The Museum Café will also have special eclipse-themed snacks available for purchase, including beer and wine options. All guests are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks to our picnic area.

Eye Safety
It is unsafe to view a solar eclipse without specialized eyewear. Viewing the sun directly or through a telescope, camera or binoculars can result in serious eye injury. Please note: Eclipse glasses will be provided for all attendees.
Parking
Parking will be available in the main Museum parking lot on a first come, first served basis. In the event the Museum parking lot is full, there are alternate lots within walking distance. These lots are not affiliated with the Museum in any way. The Museum is not responsible for pricing or payment, nor for any theft or damage to vehicles parked in any of these alternate lots.
1. Museum Lot – $10/day, $5/member; Card payment (Discounted parking for members is only available in this lot and must be purchased at the Box Office prior to leaving.)
2. Meso Maya and El Fenix Lot (2165 N. Field Street) – $20/day; Online payment
3. DMA Parking Garage (1717 N. Harwood Street) – $15/day; Cash or card payment
