Origins: Fossils From The Cradle Of Humankind
October 21, 2019-March 22, 2020
Journey to South Africa where you’ll explore two groundbreaking discoveries — Australopithecus sediba and Homo naledi. Each discovery lends game-changing insights into our understanding of human evolution. Be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close with these authentic specimens. Uncover traits we share and traits that make us different. Along the way, you’ll encounter stories from the scientists of these expeditions and questions that inspire paleoanthropologists in the field that will help you reflect on what it means to be human.
The Science Behind Pixar
April 27-September 7, 2020
This exhibition highlights the STEM and computer science concepts used every day at Pixar in each of our films. Screen-based activities and physical interactive exhibits invite visitors to experience different roles, such as lighting designer, animator, or modeler. Videos of Pixar employees give first-hand accounts of the technological innovations that have revolutionized the field of computer animation. The exhibition includes an introductory theater, eight cluster areas, and a pipeline experience.
Add a whole new dimension to your field trip with a totally immersive 3D film experience. From the moment your students open their eyes to the digital clarity of The Hoglund Foundation Theater, a National Geographic Experience, they're also opening their minds to some of the most fascinating topics that science and nature have to offer.
