Perot Museum of Nature and Science
Education and Research
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science Education and Research in Fair Park showcases many of the exhibits from the historic Dallas Museum of Natural History, and provides a workspace for our research and collections departments, including our Paleo Lab for conservation of paleontological specimens.
The Dallas Museum of Natural History was established in Fair Park as part of the Texas Centennial in 1936, and was one of the first natural history museums in the region. In 2006, it merged with the Science Place and Dallas Children’s Museum, ultimately to become the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and expand to a new location in Victory Park.
