Robot Round-Up Sleepover

Sat, Mar 14 at 6:30pm
-

This sleepover is all about robots and engineering! There are all types of engineers and all types of robots, and tonight we’ll get to get up close and personal with all of them. An engineer can be someone who designs rollercoasters, programs computers, builds skyscrapers, or as you’ll find out…even build robots!

A robot is a machine that can do a job –sometimes even several jobs- with no outside help. Robots can only do things they are taught to do, and they’re only as smart as the people that make them. At our Robot Round-Up Sleepover we will get to play with robots and meet people who build and use them every day.

Some of the special activities we will offer at the sleepover will include:

  • Learning to code simple robots
  • Discovering how robots can make our lives easier here on earth and even in space
  • Getting to talk to someone who works with robots
  • Learning about the language that robots use to understand commands

Along with these activities, we will also feature a scavenger hunt for prizes, a Dino Dance Party, a light snack, a film in the theater, a Live Science Show and, a light breakfast, and of course general admission to all of our outstanding general exhibit halls.

For those seeking a convenient and onsite dinner option, the Café, operated by Wolfgang Puck, will be open 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
