Scouting Adventures are the action-packed way to get your Scouts excited about working toward their advancement and studying the world around them. Our Scouting Adventures are monthly opportunities for Scouts to get their hands dirty with science while they work their way toward their next badge!

Private Scouting Adventures

Looking to book a private Scouting Adventure just for your group? Private Scouting Adventures can be booked through the family adventures department at 214.756.5789.

Public and private scouting sleepovers also available.

Discounted Family Admission

Want to bring the whole family to the Museum while your Scout is on their Adventure? Parents and siblings can purchase general admission tickets at the discounted rate of $10 per person when they book their Scout's Adventure.

  1. Where will Scouting Adventures be held?

    All Scouting Adventures will be held in the Museum’s Learning Labs on the Lower Level, right next to the Children’s Museum

     

  2. What are the fees for Scouting Adventures?

    All public Scouting Adventures are $20 per Scout. For pricing on private Scouting Adventures, please contact the Family Adventures department at 214.756.5789.

     

  3. Who teaches Scouting Adventures?

    Scouting Adventures are taught by a subject matter specialist who can provide in-depth insight into the subjects that their Adventures cover. 

     

  4. Can a Scout attend two Adventures in the same day?

    Scouts are welcome to attend two Adventures offered in the same day. We just ask that the Scout have an adult present in the Museum for the hour break between adventures. Our instructors must prepare for the next Adventure and we cannot offer childcare services between sessions. 

     

  5. What is the deadline to register for a Scouting Adventure?

    There is a limited number of spots available in each adventure. No tickets will be sold after the Wednesday before an event, or after all seats have been filled. Whichever comes first.

Reservation Guidelines

  • Start the reservation process by clicking on your Scouting type above and completing the request form
  • Completed registration packets are due no later than two weeks prior to Adventure date
  • Full payment is due at the time of registration
  • Special payment arrangements may be made for groups of more than 15
  • Payments are nonrefundable and nontransferable
