Science on the Spot

Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays at various times and locations throughout the Museum

Our gallery experience educators facilitate science demonstrations and presentations on a large circle carpet. Guests are invited to gather around, participate in demonstrations, and ask questions. All of our demonstrations and presentations are designed to lead guests through overarching topics and questions related to the science themes presented in the Museum. Brainiacs encourage inquiry-based learning. Demonstrations include: animal adaptations, animal encounters, vision, optical illusions, vacuum chamber experiments, dinosaur/mammoth toothpaste, dry ice bubbles, dinner table science, angular momentum, and gyroscopes.
