Field Trips

UPDATE: We will not be offering lab programs for field trips this year but we can bring them to you! Be sure to check our school campus visit offerings for more information!

Field trip visits are $8 per student and include all exhibit halls, ChallENGe Lab and Bio Lab. Required chaperones (one per 7 students) are free. Additional chaperones included on your reservation are $8 each. Any extra adults will pay full price admission as available.

Note: Field trips are not offered on Tuesdays.


School Campus Visits
 

Science on Stage
30 minutes | Up to 175 students per session | Grades K-8
These demonstrations are facilitated by our team of educators. They are designed to engage large groups through an interactive experience (details here). 
Each presentation is $7 per student, free for chaperones, and $7 per extra adult. Availabilities vary by day of week:
  • Mondays and Wednesdays: Super Sight & the Power of Light 
  • Thursdays and Fridays: Thermal Reactions

Hands-On Labs
45 minutes | Up to 30 students per session (20 for PreK)
Explore content through a hands-on learning experience.


Each lab aligns with TEKS (details here).

Pricing varies per lab:

  • $175 – most labs
  • $225 – More than Meets the Eye, The Heart of the Matter, Truss Bridge Challenge, Crash Test Cars
  • $350 – Brain Power


Maker Lab / TECH Truck
45 minutes | Up to 30 students per class | Up to 4 classes per day
Students can expand their creativity through hands-on stations (details here).

As your school/organization is Title I, this lab will be free of charge to you through our TECH Truck program.

Each Maker Lab is $7 per student.

Each Maker Lab is $225.


Science Demos
45 minutes | Up to 250 students per session
These demonstrations are facilitated by our team of educators. They are designed to engage large groups through an interactive experience (details here). If you have more students in attendance than will fit in a Demo, we can book you into up to four Demos per day.
Each Science Demo is $6 per student, free for chaperones, and $6 per extra adult. Demo availability varies by day of week:
  • Mondays and Fridays: Superhero Science (grades K–8, up to 250 students)
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays: Fire and Ice (grades K–8, up to 250 students)

These demonstrations are facilitated by our team of educators. They are designed to engage large groups through an interactive experience (details here). If you have more students in attendance than will fit in a Demo, we can book you into up to four Demos per day.
A Science Demo is $400, plus $200 for any additional Demos (of the same type, up to a total of 4) to accommodate more students.

Family Science Nights
2 hours | Up to 500 people

Looking for a way to spice up your next PTA meeting or your school’s STEM night? Just leave it to us! Our education team will bring the Perot Museum, and all the activity supplies, to you (details here).

Family Science Nights are $500 and designed for at least 200 people, plus $50 for each additional 50 people up to 500.

Special Exhibition
60 minutes
Visit our special temporary exhibition (if applicable to your visit date).

Films
20-45 minutes
See an educational 3D film in the Hoglund Foundation Theater (details here).

Films are $6 per student and teacher/chaperone. Capacity is currently limited to 200 and may be lower, depending on the showing.

These showings are available most days, but some may be unavailable on certain days. If your selected showing is not available on your visit day, we will work with you to find a similar showing.

We can travel outside Dallas County for an additional travel fee. You must book a minimum of two consecutive programs. Earliest start time is 10am. Special requests can be made for travel areas outside those listed.

  • Area 1, $35: Collin, Rockwall, Tarrant
  • Area 2, $65: Cook, Denton, Ellis, Grayson, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Parker, Van Zandt, Wise
  • Area 3, $95: Anderson, Bosque, Delta, Fannin, Freestone, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Jack, Montague, Palo Pinto, Rains, Smith, Somervell, Wood

Please include teachers in the chaperone count. We require 1 chaperone for every 7 students.

Field trips are not offered on Tuesdays.

Group check-in begins at 9:45am and the Museum opens at 10am.

We offer financial assistance to qualifying schools and organizations for field trip admission and on-campus programming.
