After months of construction, the completely refreshed Being Human Hall will feature twice as many interactive exhibits in English and Spanish, allowing visitors to use their brain to fire off pulsing lights, digitally blend their faces with early humans, experience virtual reality, explore DNA and more.

Perot Museum of Nature and Science announces partnership with Dr. Lee Berger, the pioneering paleoanthropologist who discovered Homo naledi.
The Perot Museum has formed a partnership with internationally renowned paleoanthropologist Dr. Lee Berger, whose groundbreaking work has rewritten the way early human and hominin evolution is understood. Berger’s alliance with the Perot Museum is part of a new strategic focus on human origins called the Center for the Exploration of the Human Journey, for which he will serve as the Center’s Distinguished Science Advisor. The Center will focus on supporting, curating and disseminating the dynamic research developed by Berger and his team of more than 160 scientists working around the world.

Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Awards Crow Collection of Asian Art and Perot Museum with Prestigious Training Grants
Dallas was a big winner when the prestigious Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced its list of 28 grants totaling approximately $1.99 million for a new initiative of its “Museums for America” program. IMLS received 147 applications from U.S. museums, and Dallas was one of only two cities to receive two of the coveted training and professional-development grants. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science and the Crow Collection of Asian Art each received grants of approximately $25,000 for diversity and inclusion training so that each organization might better serve the needs of North Texas.
