Bring learning to life

A field trip to the Perot Museum is a great way for school groups to experience the power of science through hands-on discovery. Learn more about field trip options and see the full array of offerings in our interactive Teacher’s Guide.

Most programs are offered four times each day, Monday-Friday, throughout the school year. To check availability, contact the Reservations Department. For best selection, school groups are encouraged to make their requests early in the school year, and to visit early in the week when the Museum is less crowded.

We recommend about two hours for visits to the standard exhibits, but this is self-guided so you may spend as little or as much time as you like. Films range from 20-40 minutes each. Standard classroom programs and Auditorium programs are 50 minutes. Allow time in your schedule for a picnic lunch if you plan to be here for several hours.

Policies

Museum Chaperone Policy

The Museum’s chaperone ratio is one chaperone for every 7 children. Any adults in excess of this ratio will be charged the Extra Chaperone rate. Preregistration is required for all teachers, chaperones and children. Any additional adults will be sold tickets the day of your visit based on availability.

Reservation Confirmation

Review both pages of your invoice as soon as you receive it (usually emailed within 24 hours of making your reservation). Page 1 includes your schedule, attendance, and payment information. Page 2 includes helpful information and set up details for outreach programs.

For field trips, be sure to arrange for transportation and recruit required number of chaperones — one for every 7 students. Have printed map and directions for driver(s), and a copy of your schedule for each chaperone. The physical address for directions/transportation: 2201 N. Field Street, Dallas, TX 75201-1704.  Complimentary bus parking is available either in Lot C, or the American Airlines Center.

Payment

A nonrefundable deposit is due within 10 days of booking a reservation ($50 for invoices totaling less than $500, and $100 for invoices totaling more than $500). Final payment is due two weeks before your visit date. School checks and credit cards are accepted. Cash payments can be processed in the Perot Museum Box Office with a copy of your invoice.
