Order up some insight at our new series to discuss trends, topics and research with local experts in a relaxed pub setting.

They came. They heard. They discussed.
Our first-ever Science Café was a hit, thanks to our guest speaker, Dr. Frederick Grinnell of UT Southwestern, and all the people who showed up and interacted. Dr. Grinnell kicked off the program at Anvil Pub with background information about bioethics that launched an engaging group discussion. The format revolved around trending topics of the evening and moved along to the next topic once all questions were asked and opinions voiced on a particular topic. Participants not only walked away with a broader knowledge of bioethics — they also gained a deeper understanding of differing perspectives.
